Mother Nature’s Temporary Art
Hi everyone,
Well, I am iced in for yet another evening here in Dallas. This winter storm we’ve had the past week has been the worst I’ve ever seen. I’m sure to a lot of folks up north – an ice storm and half foot or so of snow isn’t much.. but for us folks in Texas, its quite a site! Although i’m a beach bum at heart and not all that crazy about winter.. I discovered a new found love for it this week. With the temperature below freezing all week – things were transformed by ice all over the place. I thought it fitting with this months project, to share some temporary art made by mother nature.
Snapped these shots at a pond near my apartment yesterday on the way home from sledding. I love how the ice has built up around this fish fountain – frozen so thick the water stopped flowing in some of them. It looks like something out of a fantasy land!
Well, going to be spending the rest of the night cozy indoors here.. so I’m likely to find plenty more temp art to share with you soon! =)
Auf Wiedersehen!
