Inspiration: Coffee Cup A Day

Just a little random inspiration I found today. You don’t need fancy tools and equipment to make some cool art – and Malaysian artist Cheeming Boey (aka Boy Obsolete) has got some cool proof of that. He’s taken ordinary styrofoam coffee cups and done illustrations on them with sharpie markers… simple, clever, and fun! Pretty sure he’s also disproving the “starving artist” image… some of these go for as much as $1500 depending on how intricate the drawing is. Talk about a profit margin. Maybe I need to start turning the office coffee cups into works of art that I can sell for gobs of money!
