Juicy Tuesday! Three Cubes Colliding
I found some really incredible sculptures based on the theme of Flight this week! The first is was simply awe-inspiring… an otherworldly functional kite by Sash Reading and Heather & Ivan Morison entitled Three Cubes Colliding. You’ve got to watch the video below for the full effect. This marvel of lightweight architecture – made from a dense mesh of carbon fibre rods and aerospace fabric – appears to defy the laws of gravity as it floats in the air. It was inspired by an original concept of Alexander Graham Bell’s tetrahedral kite, which he developed between 1895 and 1910. Incredible stuff.
